BELMONT - Bernard "Mickey" Zapora, 71, of Belmont, NH passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born February 27, 1952, in Manchester, NH to the late Bernard M. Zapora, Sr. and Lillian G. (Powell) Zapora. He grew up in Hooksett and attended Manchester Central High School. Mickey was a lifelong trucker, following in the footsteps of his father and uncles. He owned and operated trucks for many years and took great pride in keeping them in immaculate condition. In addition to trucking, Mickey was an on-call firefighter at the South Hooksett Fire Department for over 15 years and served on the Candia Police Department for a short time. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Gecha. Mickey loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons, Bernard M. Zapora, III and his girlfriend, Mary Soens of Weare and his son, Stephen M. Zapora of Sanbornton; stepdaughter, Ashley Dunham and her husband, Beau of Campton; grandchildren, Bernard Zapora, IV, Bennington Zapora, Logan Zapora, Joseph Zapora, and Zoey Zapora; his siblings, Darlene Beaudry and her husband, Gerard of Londonderry, Daniel Zapora and his wife, Kathy of Barre, VT and many nieces and nephews.
