Obituary

MELBOURNE, FL - Bernard Philip Letendre, 91, of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born on February 4, 1935, in Manchester, NH to Harvey Letendre and Anita Doucette.

In his life, he proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps, followed by an extensive technology career with a leading defense contractor until his retirement. He was known for his steadfast commitment to his daughters, family, and friends. He was always there to offer his help, guidance, wisdom, and dad-jokes. He was our rock and our safe harbor throughout our lives and he is greatly missed. He enjoyed listening to ‘oldies’ music, the latest new tech toys, sharing laughs (so many), and stories with company out on his lanai, and meeting up with his friends for events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne C. (Saucier) Letendre; his sister, Madeline (Letendre) Jaquith, as well as his son-in-law, Raymond Duchemin.

Bernard is survived by his three daughters and their partners, Michelle Duchemin, Jacqueline LePine (Daniel Belanger) and Tracie Pratte (Floyd Johnson); his brothers, Ernest Martel, Andy Martel and Rick Martel; sister, Linda (Martel) Clement; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00am with Military Honors at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, River Rd, Allenstown, NH.
