DEERFIELD - Barbara A. Daley, 86, of Deerfield passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Epsom HealthCare Center. Born on September 23, 1937, in Wellesley, MA, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Fleming) Owen. Barbara grew up in South Boston, MA, graduating from Gate of Heaven High School. She lived and raised her family in Deerfield, NH, becoming well known and beloved working at the Deerfield Market, Deerfield Fair, and serving as ballot clerk as well as numerous volunteer activities. She was the 2016 recipient of the Sherburne Award for distinguished local citizens. Barbara was an avid jokester, prankster, and the dancing queen at social events. Her joy was making those around her smile, laugh, and feel loved and she always succeeded. Barbara was predeceased by her devoted husband, Donald L. Daley and her siblings, Eleanor Merriam, Dorothy Egan, Charles Owen and Beulah "Peggy" Daley. Members of her family include her children, Donald J. Daley (Angela), Donna Daley (Tom Lithgow), Daniel Daley (Sandra), and Dorothy Daley; grandchildren, Jeremie Stratton, Sean Daley, Christopher Thornton, Andrew Daley, Alexander Daley, Joshua Paige (Victoria) and Amanda Rossetti (Chris); great-grandchildren, Harrison and Priscilla Rossetti and many nephews and nieces that she entertained and loved as her own children. Barbara had several guardian angels as well, friends and neighbors who brought her companionship and comfort in her final years. Calling hours will take place on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy Epsom. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10am at St. Joseph's Parish, 844 First NH Turnpike Northwood. Burial will take place in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
