ALLENSTOWN -Mrs. Barbara A. (Green) Chaput, 79, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the care of the Granite VNA Hospice House on June 6, 2024.

Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Edna (Dobosz) Green. She was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester Central High School Class of 1963. She later attended Keene State College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1967.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a teacher at Highland-Goffe’s Falls Elementary School in Manchester for 32 years.

Barbara enjoyed trips to Disney World and cherished family gatherings.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Donald A. Chaput; her son, Leonard Chaput and his wife Gherri of Allenstown; her two granddaughters: Chloe and Gwen; her sister, Donna Pellerin; and her nieces and nephews, Scott and Jeff Pellerin, Darlene Adams, Jammie Thamas and Everett Chaput, III and his wife Mary Anne.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, June 14th from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 11 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
