Allenstown - Arthur "Arty" Gelinas, 70, of Allenstown, passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, October 26, 2023 surrounded by some of the things he loved most, skulls. Born on May 28, 1953 in Manchester, he was the son of the late Arthur and Irene (Mitchell) Gelinas. Arty worked for many years as a truck driver, he enjoyed listening to loud rock and roll music, hanging out with his friends. He excelled with cars, he loved building them, working on antiques, especially hot rods and was a rat rod specialist. He was known for his professional bartering skills and his impressive skull collection and he loved dogs, especially Rottweilers. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Perkins) Gelinas and a sister, Rose Richard. He is survived by his son, Robert Blais and his wife Lori Laroche, stepson, Michael Perkins, siblings, Robin Panneton and her husband Ronald, brother-in-law, Paul Richard, grandchildren, CJ Laroche, Shawn Laroche and Booker Blais. A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 1pm-5PM at the Club Canadian, 128 South Main Street, Manchester.
