HILLSBORO - Antonia S. Burgess, 80, of Hillsboro passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua on Monday, January 29, 2024. Antonia was born in New Bedford, MA on April 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Jules Serpa and Josephine (Bagao) Serpa. Antonia spent many years working as a registered nurse for Elliot hospital, she was very passionate and caring. Antonia was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Burgess in 2018; son, Herbert "Yogi" Burgess, Jr. in 2017; daughter, Mary Ellen Bemis in 2020 and grandson, Ryan Burgess in 2019. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Burgess; grandchildren, Brett, Ross and Ashley, and great-grandchildren, Grayson, Kaiden and Weston. Along with siblings, nieces and nephews in Rhode Island and Connecticut. There are no services scheduled at this time.
