Obituary

EPSOM- Mrs. Ann B. (Maheu) McGahey, 70, of Epsom, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 2, 2022. Born in Lebanon, Ann was the daughter of the late Herbert and Irene (Courtemanche) Maheu. She was raised and educated in Hartford, VT and was a graduate of Hartford High School Class of 1969. She was a longtime resident of Pembroke before finally settling in Epsom. In earlier years, Ann was employed as a kitchen worker in the Pittsfield Schools. She greatly enjoyed being able to interact with the students. She later worked as a hairdresser for many years. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish in Allenstown. Ann had a heart of gold and her compassion for others went far beyond measure. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Maheu. Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Edmond J. "Ed" McGahey; her three children: Julie Levesque and her husband Kirk of Aubrey, TX, Edmond McGahey, Jr. of Ft. Collins, CO and Marc McGahey and his wife Shaun of Epsom. She was the loving grandmother to Jonathan Levesque, Alexander Levesque, Paige McGahey and Brody McGahey. She was the sister to Herbert Maheu of Maryland and Joanne Keeler of Manchester. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, April 7th from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Roan Family Funeral Home - Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 8th at 10 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
