Obituary

Albert J. Cassella, Jr., 69, of Allenstown, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

He was born on April 20, 1957, in Cambridge, MA; son of the late Albert J. Cassella, Sr. and Ermalinda (Petrino) Cassella. Albert was educated in the local schools and went on to receive his bachelor’s in accounting from Bentley College. He was most recently employed with BMS Paper Co. as a driver.

Albert enjoyed a simple life, never really needing much to be happy. He found his peace outdoors, fishing on the lake or by the ocean with his trademark unlit cigar in his mouth (never smoking it, only "chewing"). He possessed an optimistic spirit, always scratching his lottery tickets in pursuit of the jackpot, usually accompanied by the familiar static of his FM2 radio. His favorite place to be was at the Sunday dinner table, surrounded by his family, enjoying good food, a game of cribbage, and endless laughter.

Albert leaves behind a family who will miss his laughter and presence every day.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joanne McCormack.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Jeski) Cassella of Allenstown, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage, children, Albert J. Cassella, III of Manchester, Candice Gagne and her husband Paul of Fitzwilliam, Samantha Gray and her husband Andrew of Manchester and Patrick Cassella and his wife Kristen of Andover, MA; siblings, Dolores Howley and Patricia Manzelli, four grandchildren, Arlo, Lena, Luca and Gino as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
