Our FamilyServing Yours

Recent Obituaries

Welcome to Our Website

The loss of a loved one can leave you with a lot of unanswered questions, feelings of stress and anxiety and grief that make events and decision-making difficult to handle. We at Roan Family Funeral Homes will guide you through the aspects of the funeral service with compassion, dignity and respect. Our family is available at any time to assist you in making funeral service arrangements. From casket and urn choices to funeral flowers, cremation options, catering and monument options, we provide individualized funeral, cremation and memorial services designed to meet the needs of each family.

Our honest service and commitment to excellence have served our families well, and you can rest assured that we can assist you in your time of need. Whether you have come to our site for information about an upcoming service or to make arrangements for one, we hope the information you find here will be helpful.

We are honored to continue a legacy started 85 years ago, assisting our family, friends and neighbors in their time of need. At a time when many funeral establishments are being acquired by large, multinational conglomerates and some funeral directors are finding themselves forced into consolidating their businesses with one another, we continue to take great pride in remaining independently family owned, operated and occupied. We are accountable to you—our families, not to Wall Street or a CEO. There are times when a huge corporation or society may be the right choice. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is not one of those times.

Turn to a local family you can trust.

Warmest Regards,
Katherine and Matthew Roan

You talk about everything. You share the big events and small victories. But there’s one conversation you probably haven’t had: it’s time to have the talk about how you want to be remembered. It can make the difference of a lifetime.

Sharing stories with those who matter most isn’t just important today; it will be especially significant when it’s time to commemorate a life. Have the Talk of a Lifetime encourages families to have conversations about life and what matters most. These discussions can help families make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones.

Through meaningful memorialization — that is, taking time to reflect on the unique life of a loved one and remember the difference they made — families and friends take an important step in the journey toward healing after death. Today, individuals and their families have more options for memorializing their loved one at the end of life.

Memorialization is so much more than it used to be. It can reflect a person’s life story, their values, interests, and experiences. It is transformative, healing, and comforting. Meaningful memorialization planning starts when loved ones talk about what matters most: memories made, lessons learned, and how they hope to be remembered.
